Methodology, how TikiTaka is rated
The method behind the TikiTaka review: seven criteria, traits of 0, 0.5 or 1, fixed weights and an overall mark to two decimals. Version of 15 Oct 2026.
The seven criteria
The mark in the TikiTaka review comes from a fixed calculation on the operator's public documents and pages. Each criterion groups several traits that can be checked in a document; the assessment is editorial, made as of 15 Oct 2026, and the gaming account was not tested.
- Bonus terms (4.0625): amount, minimum deposit, wagering, deadlines, caps on withdrawing winnings and exclusions.
- Payments and withdrawals (5.00): the cashier's methods, ranges, limits by level, processing time and conditions before withdrawing.
- Operator transparency and documents (4.25): what the operator publishes about itself, its terms and its contacts.
- Rules and win limits (2.8125): one account, closure, maximum stakes, how games count and inactive accounts.
- Support and complaints (7.75): channels, the order of a complaint and the time to answer.
- Games and product (9.50): categories, sports betting, tournaments and the loyalty programme the operator describes.
- Responsible gambling and verification (6.75): the responsible gambling page, self-exclusion, minimum age and identity verification.
What the facts say under each criterion is in the review.
How the mark is calculated
Each trait receives a value from what the operator's document says, without comparing it with other operators: the scale describes the condition as it is written.
- Value of the trait0 if the condition works against the reader, 0.5 if it is named and limits moderately or is ambiguous, 1 if it works in the reader's favour.
- Weight of the traitWithin each criterion the weights of the traits add up to 1.0. They are set in advance and are not adjusted to reach a result.
- Mark of the criterionThe sum of value times weight over the traits evaluated, divided by the sum of their weights and multiplied by 10. The mark of a criterion is not rounded.
- Overall markThe average of the criteria evaluated, published to two decimals; in the version of 15 Oct 2026, 40.125 / 7 = 5.7321, published as 5.73 out of 10.
The overall mark is rounded only at the end and to two decimals, not to tenths, so that a difference of a hundredth is not lost. The marks of each criterion, with their breakdown, are in the review.
What “not evaluated” means
A trait with no confirmed fact in an operator document drops out of the calculation: it neither adds nor subtracts, and its weight leaves the denominator.
In the criterion of rules and win limits, for instance, one trait of weight 0.20 stays “not evaluated”; the weighted sum, 0.225, is divided by 0.80 and not by 1.00, and the mark is 2.8125.
“Not evaluated” is not the same as a zero: it says that a checkable fact is missing, not that the condition is bad.
What does not enter the mark
Third-party ratings, player complaints and the indexes of other sites do not enter, and nor does the availability of the operator's site by the country it is opened from.
Availability by country is a fact of access, not a condition set by the operator, and it is reported separately, with a date, on each page where it applies.
The rating is not a payment test: it measures what the operator publishes, not the real speed at which it pays. For that reason no claim of having tested the account is made, and no aggregate score from players is published.
Date and changes of the method
Version of the method and of the marks: . If the operator changes a condition, the trait affected is recalculated and the review shows the new date.
An error in the calculation can be reported to help@tikitaka.ing; how the editorial team works is explained on the about page.
